Workouts

Strength doesn’t always look like heavy weight or big movement—sometimes it looks like control, precision, and doing the small things really, really well.

Wendell is working through a supine foam roller stability press, a deceptively challenging exercise that targets deep shoulder and core stability.

Here’s what’s going on:

• Foam roller along the spine → creates an unstable surface, forcing the core and spinal stabilizers to engage to maintain alignment
• Arms extended with dumbbells → puts the shoulder in a controlled, loaded position without excessive strain
• Micro presses (no elbow bend) → isolates the shoulder joint, activating the rotator cuff and scapular stabilizers
• Slow, controlled movement → retrains neuromuscular control and joint awareness after injury

Why this matters for rehab:

After a rotator cuff injury, it’s not just about getting stronger—it’s about restoring stability, coordination, and control in the shoulder. This exercise helps Wendell:

• Improve shoulder joint stability
• Rebuild rotator cuff strength safely
• Enhance scapular control (key for overhead movement)
• Integrate core + shoulder connection for real-world strength

Strength looks different on everyone—and today, it looks like Wendell putting in the work. 💪🏽

After a left shoulder rotator cuff injury earned on the job as a Fire Captain, Wendell is showing what real resilience is all about. Day by day, rep by rep, he’s rebuilding strength, stability, and confidence.

This is what rehab is about:
Not just getting back—but coming back stronger.

We’re proud to be part of your journey, Wendell. Let’s keep climbing. 🔥

If you’re dealing with pain or an injury, don’t wait to take the first step. DM us or book an evaluation—your comeback starts here.
